Goodguys Opens Its Doors in Our Backyard, and a Trip to Illinois for Mecum

Anyone interested in classic and muscle cars knows the name Goodguys, and rightly
so. Originally founded in 1983 by lifelong hot rodder Gary Meadors, it has grown to
be the largest hot rodding association with over 70,000 active members worldwide.
With such an exciting organization arriving in our back yard of Concord, NC at the Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend, October 26-28. MyClassicGarage realized just how appropriate it would be to bring our classic muscle car, the ’79 Trans Am we’re giving away, to this event.

Over 300,000 people are expected to attend this three-day event that spans from
Friday through Sunday and features over 2,500 rods, customs, classics, street
machines, muscle cars, and trucks thru 1972. Other activities include local poker
runs, Autocross, swap meet, special track cruises, and even free kids entertainment.

Check their website for more info, pricing, and registration. Be sure to stop
by the MyClassicGarage booth to sign up for “The Ultimate Tool for the Classic Car
Collector” and be entered to win the ’79 Trans Am, which will be there
for your viewing pleasure. It is real, and we really are giving it away to one lucky
winner on December 12th.

Part of the remaining MyClassicGarage team will be heading to Illinois for the
Mecum auction in St. Charles next to the DuPage County Airport. The auction is
open to all collector cars and as of now over 1,000 muscle cars and Corvettes will
make their way across the podium. Click here for more info and registration. If you
can’t make it, check out all the action on the live broadcast. Click here for scheduling
(http://velocity.discovery.com/tv-schedules/weekly.html).

If you can make it out, be sure to stop by the MyClassicGarage booth at the auction
today through Saturday, October 25-27, and sign up if you haven’t already.
