Two of MyClassicGarage’s very own will be attending the Kansas City Mecum auction this weekend, December 6-8. It will be at the Kansas City Convention Center located at 301 West 13th Street Kansas City, MO 64105. Over 750 vehicles are expected to cross the auction block, with gates opening daily at 8 AM.
Mecum continues to establish itself with its “something for everyone” model, done so with a high degree of efficiency. Last year at the Kansas City December auction, two-thirds of the cars were sold totaling $12,230,749, and an average selling price of $21,958.
This year features such cars as the above 1969 GTO, “The Judge” edition. It has had a total frame-off restoration and contains the Ram Air IV V8 outputting 370 hp. And with the 4-speed manual transmission, makes it a rare vehicle with only 549 being produced that year.
Another car to keep your eye on is this gorgeous 1963 ‘split window’ Corvette. The split window was only produced this year and offers up one of Chevrolet’s most stunning designs. The color combo is equally stunning with a Sebring Silver exterior coating and black interior. This particular Corvette sports a 327ci/300hp V8, Borg Warner T-10 4-speed transmission, and touts a two-year photo documented rotisserie restoration. To see more available cars, click here.
